Job description

Reporting to the Food Service Director, the custodian is responsible for cleaning, maintaining and tidying the buildings in line with the establishment’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
At the heart of the action
- Prepare the material needed to maintain the assigned areas.
- Clean public areas (hallways, dining room, bar, stairwells, public restrooms) and administrative offices.
- Dust furniture, vacuum and wash floors.
- Disinfect and clean sanitary facilities as well as the kitchen ventilation hoods.
- Take out the garbage and clean the windows.
- Maintain, wash and disinfect the dish towels, rags and cloths used in the kitchen.
- Report any irregularities in the condition of the premises.
- Monitor the premises during the shift and check that doors are locked.
- Help clear snow and ice across the site.
- Ensure hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety standards are applied.
- Any other related tasks.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Relevant housekeeping experience.
- Standing and walking throughout the shift; lifting and carrying loads; kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Punctual, honest, autonomous and reliable.
- Attentive to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
