Reporting to the Le Pitch Resto-bar Director, the server looks after guests by presenting the food and drink menus, offering suggestions, taking orders and settling the bill — creating a relationship and an atmosphere that reflect Le Pitch.
Responsibilities
At the heart of the action
- Welcome guests warmly and provide great customer service.
- Present the menu, answer questions and advise guests based on their needs.
- Take orders and pass them on to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Restock the bar, fridges, coffee and popcorn machines, and carry cases of beverages.
- Prepare fruit garnishes and serve appetizers.
- Serve drinks and meals and check on guest satisfaction.
- Check the age of guests wishing to consume or purchase alcohol and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain and restock the tables throughout service.
- Clear, clean and reset tables so the next guests can be seated quickly.
- Process sales transactions and payments and close the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Take bar inventory and complete the daily task log.
- Keep a clean, tidy and safe work environment.
- Any other related tasks.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to handle cash transactions.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in food service and/or bar.
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol in accordance with current regulations.
- Standing and walking throughout the shift, lifting and carrying loads, working on the outdoor terrace (cold).
- Team spirit, effective communication, quick execution and strong customer service skills.
