Job description
Grow and leave your mark
Reporting to the Grooming Director, the snow groomer operator maintains the resort’s skiable surfaces.
Responsibilities
At the heart of the action
- Perform pre-start checks on the groomer.
- Review the work done on the previous shift and the tasks to complete according to set priorities.
- Safely drive the groomer to maintain ski trails, snow parks and special event and activity sites.
- Use the appropriate grooming techniques to improve ski conditions (tiller grooming, snow spreading, filling, breaking up ice patches, etc.).
- Keep the trail maintenance logbook.
- Use the machinery efficiently to reduce operating costs, in line with company procedures.
- Any other related tasks.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Experience operating heavy machinery and basic mechanical knowledge (an asset).
- Good physical condition.
- Punctual, autonomous and reliable; careful, vigilant and observant.
