Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the groundskeeper carries out summer work related to the upkeep of the trails, glades and grounds of the resort, and also handles painting jobs.
Responsibilities
At the heart of the action
- Make firewood: fell trees with a chainsaw, use the log splitter and stack the wood in the designated area.
- Maintain the trails by cutting grass and branches with a brush cutter.
- Maintain the glades: cut down dead or hazardous trees, trim low branches and widen sections of the glades.
- Spread hay on the trails.
- Carry out various painting jobs.
- Help with the outdoor upkeep of the site.
- Support the various departments with summer tasks.
- Any other related tasks.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Relevant experience with a chainsaw, brush cutter and/or log splitter.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience driving ATVs.
- Good physical condition: standing and walking on the mountain throughout the shift, working in the heat for several hours, lifting and carrying loads of 20 kg and more.
- Punctual, honest, autonomous and reliable; team player, mindful of workplace health and safety.
